This is the class blog for Wendy Sumner-Winter's 1020 Composition and Analysis classes at the University of Memphis.
The purpose of the blog is to demonstrate the global nature of education and argument and allow students to embrace the idea of entering into a global conversation.
The governing theme of this class will be "Think Globally, Act Locally." To that end, we will be exploring issues that face the world in the context of our own city.

My name is Matthew Siemiatkaska. I am a sophomore Sports Management major. I moved to Memphis from Columbia, Tennessee. Sports is a big part of my life, and cheering on the Tigers is one of my favorite past-times. This semester I am working full-time and going to school full-time. I live in a small apartment on Spottswood Avenue, and I have two cats.
